Hello Peter,
the search fields works in two modes:
* If you change the text and just wait or press return/enter, a search
is triggered in the current tab with the normal search dock or in all
tabs with the extended search dock.
* If you press shift + return/enter instead, a search is triggered in
all tabs with the normal search dock or in the current tab only with the
extended search dock.
>From you question, I guess you use the extended search dock. Hence,
pressing shift+return should search only the current tab in your case.
