Question #694714 on qpdfview changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/qpdfview/+question/694714
Status: Open => Answered Adam Reichold proposed the following answer: Hello Jeff, If you always use the continuous view, this should happen automatically. When qpdfview opens a document, the initial view mode is determined by: 1. Whether the document explicitly requests one, e.g. some documents request being displayed in two columns of pages. 2. You enable per-file settings and have opened this file before, then that state is restored. 3. The view mode that you was your last explicit choice is used otherwise. The idea is that this way, there should be not need for an explicit default as selecting your preference for a document should apply them to newly opened documents as well.
