There's no doubt that Qpid for java will include JMS + Qpid specific stuff because qpid has features that JMS doesn't. The principal point of debate is: will the qpid specific stuff provide alternative ways to do what JMS does already, or not?
This is what I thought that Rajith was implying, i.e. the "Qpid API" would offer alternative high-level ways of doing what was possible in the "extended JMS API". However, I may have got that wrong since from reading Gordon's comments I think what is being proposed is an alternative protocol-level API. Is that accurate? RG
