The 'i' in Qpid could be an arrow, but that could potentially be
interpreted the wrong way given the whole Apache thing.

Can we work an arrow in there? A heart might be a bit much...

Just tried something else. I took the red from the Apache feather for
the Q. That looks really good with the gray
and it ties nicely to Apache and the Apache logo.
One step further, for the ~ part of the Q, we use the apache feature,
paint the Q Apache red(burnt-red, or whatever it is)
and use the font from logo 1 for the "pid".
(I can get it dawn up professionally if Deb's artist does not have the
cycles)

I like the font of 1, the Q of 3 and then, and I like some color on
the Q. So I did a Gimp on it. I tried a few
different colors (Red, Blue, Orange, Purple,..)
Personally I like slate purple with grey. Debbie, do you mind trying
that or posting the source file so I can
create an example worth posting.

I think they all look quite good. If I had to pick I'd say for colors
my favorite is number 1. For font and style I mildly prefer 1, 4, 5,
11. I like the font for 9, but I think I'd like to see what it looks
like with a little more color.

Hi,
There are now some logo concepts posted
here<https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/ManageAttachments.jspa?id=12353796>.
Keep in mind that the color scheme of any of the logos can be
modified. I
personally really like 3 and a few of the others, although I might
go for a
bit brighter color scheme with 3. I'm looking forward to everyone
else's
feedback and comments. It would be great to get comments back on
the logos
and the color schemes independently since we can mix and match any
logo with
color scheme.
