Patches

I'm waiting on several patches for the Java broker and client I've put in JIRA 
(QPID-6, QPID-162) to get applied. I'd like to start working on other bugs but 
I'm kind of blocked since the delta between myself and trunk is getting large. 
Could someone take a look at these and either give me some feedback so I can 
improve the patches or commit them?
