Applied QPID-351 patch 1 with the following mods:
- Moved "source distro" instructions in front of "subversion checkout"
instructions.
- Added instructions on using qpid-autotools-install
- Added general blurb with links at top
- renamed to README, removed other README-* files.
- Updated makefiles (spec file was already OK.)
