You'll have a lot worse problems than just the lack of velocity if that

I'm not able to do much today... I'll look at what happened and try to
unpick later :-(
If you need to use gentools for java on trunk today, you'll have to revert
to a version before my checkin... Otherwise stick to the M2 branch.
