Rajith,

Just a note for future reference.... (and for when you start the vote
on [EMAIL PROTECTED])

A proper release vote should have:

1) A URL to the actual artifacts being voted on

2) A URL to the tag in the SVN repository that those artifacts were built
from.

If I have a mail filter set to flag [VOTE] mails as high priority, from
your mail, I'd have no idea what the heck I'm voting on, where to go to
get it, etc...

The two most imporant things a PMC (or PPMC) can do are voting for new
commiters and voting for releases. In both cases, the entire process
should be as clear as possible.

One more issue: cross posting between a public and private list is also
highly discouraged. If someone on the private list hits reply and
types something, they may not realize that it may go to the public list
as well.
