it's the same transmission protocol. Infiniband is a different beast entirely. That's why I thought it would be a good idea to add the SSL
Ok, scratch what I wrote before, as you can do IP over InfiniBand. Is the goal with InfiniBand support to code a layer 3/4 protocol to replace TCP?
Is SSL more like TCP than SSL is like Infiniband? I would argue yes, as SSL is a layer 5/6 modification to TCP, not an inherently different protocol as you seem to be coding - are my assertions correct?
