Hi All, You'll have seen that we've had several students contact us re our projects for GSoC. Which is great !
We need to get ourselves together a little more to mentor. I know that (from our call which we're having for Java now, watch this space for minutes ...) Aidan & I are willing to mentor on the Java side. However, we probably need at least two more mentors on Java. I say that as afaik it's been mainly Java traffic from students (apologies if I missed any other interest). The GSoC guidelines suggest 2 mentors per student. I think we've had interest in 3 Java projects, so at least four mentors (overlapping across projects) would be good. I've included Aidan's email to me below fyi with info on how to get registered as a mentor. I couldn't quite figure out this bit though: <and sign up somewhere off of http://code.google.com/soc/2008/> Couldn't spot where to sign up here as it all seemed to be about organisations. Am I being dim ?
