Yes, that would be a good idea since all (that I have seen) enterprise
monitoring tools can leverage syslog.
Agreed, SNMP and syslog are ubiquitous. My inclination is to wait to
see if the AMQP working group produces an SNMP MIB for brokers before
developing a QPID-specific one. If demand occurs, we can always develop
a vendor (Apache) specific MIB.
