Fair enough for the MTAs, but qpopper doesn't support it, so once again 
it's the "I wonder has my LDAP patch broken with this release?" syndrome, 
which is exactly what I was talking about. Putting this sort of thing into 
loadable modules means people with unsupported configs, can keep up to date 
just by recompiling qpopper, no patches needed. And also, no need to 
maintain patches. It's not that uncommon to find a patch that does what you 
want, but is for an older version. With modules, "patches" only break when 
the interface changes, which should be rarely.
