Sent mail goes up the POP3 connection, and then qpopper passes it off
to whatever MTA is available. You're essentially using qpopper as a
POP3-to-SMTP gateway.

One gotcha with multi-threaded clients: If the client tries to send
mail at the same time a timed fetch fires off, you can get a "server is
busy on another connection" error at the client, and you'll have to
retry either the fetch or send, whichever failed. Eudora may not be
subject to this, but I've seen it with PMMail.
