I've tried it without shadow passwords.
Changed the permissions of /var/mail to the required permissions as
written in INSTALL and FAQ.
ls -ld /var/mail
drwxrwxrwt 2 root mail 4096 Feb 16 12:11 /var/mail
When I telnet to port 110:
-ERR [SYS/PERM] Temporary drop /var/mail/.sander.pop not owned by
sander.
+OK Pop server at www1 signing off.
The file /var/mail/.sander.pop is created, but with the wrong
permissions:
ls -las .sander.pop
0 -rw------- 1 nobody nogroup 0 Feb 16 12:11 .sander.pop
Any suggestions ?
