Don�t you mean "Qpopper should work with DES passwords
if PAM is used?" and "I�m also looking for adding
support for DES passwords without PAM?". Because it
already works (and pretty well) with shadow + MD5. Our
problem seems to be shadow + DES passwords without PAM
(as you mentioned, it works if you use PAM).
