Went here to see what it said...

The link to the "Netscape SMTP AUTH document" went to /dev/null...

Found the following:

Useful, discusses multiple clients.

Also went to knowledge.iplanet.com, did a quick search with "SMTP AUTH"
as the search args, and found a multitude of references.

Also, found a multitude of references with a Netscape search of
"Netscape SMTP AUTH"...
