I've been meaning to redo the trace and log code, so that the 
messages are in a table, and can be enabled or disabled individually 
or by functional area and type.  But in the meantime, you can trace 
sessions for an individual user by using a user-specific 
configuration file or by running Qpopper on an additional port and 
having the user connect to that port.  The latter method has the 
advantage of tracing everything, including before authentication, but 
is more work to set up.
