>Hello folks, > Are there any plans now, or in the future to enable SASL support in >qpopper? With sendmail's adoption of SASL it seems like it is becoming a >de-facto authentiucation backend for multiple protocols. I've had patches to use the Cyrus-SASL library for a while now; they haven't been accepted. I suspect part of the problem was that with support for TLS, qpopper was being changed to do session encryption (which SASL also provides) and the changes I made weren't compatible. If there's interest from the qpopper camp, I'll rework them for the new encryption stuff in 4.0. I don't expect it will be that complicated. (What I'd really give my left nut for is proper SASL support in Eudora for POP and SMTP. Sigh) --Ken
