I've got it installed and running, though I haven't fully tested it. To run it standalone, do this:

make realclean
./configure --enable-standalone
make
sudo ./popper/popper

Granted, all I've done since then is telnet in to port 110 to make sure it responds, which it did. But, like I said, I haven't given it a workout. Seems ok, though.

By the way, did you have to ifdef out 2 functions in mktemp.c? (I'm using Version 4.0.3.)
