Hi - I'm new to qmail and qpop (done sendmail for a while) I get the following entries in /var/logs/maillog
Dec 6 14:12:03 tugger popper[30808]: apop "username" Dec 6 14:12:03 tugger popper[30808]: username at zzz.erprises.com (63.xxx.xxx.xxx): -ERR [AUTH] not authenticated Dec 6 14:12:05 tugger popper[30874]: Stats: username 0 0 0 0 zzz.erprises.com 63.xxx.xxx.xxx I'm particularly interested in the "-ERR[AUTH] not authenticated" part of this entry. qpop was configured with the following: ./configure --enable-debugging --enable-specialauth --enable-standalone --enable-home-dir-mail=Mailbox So that it would read the shadow password file, run standalone, and use the qmail ~./Mailbox directory structure.
