Hi All, I am administering a Linux mailserver which is successfully running qpopper 4.0.3 for a number of months. A recent change in policy requires us to provide the users the ability to change their own passwords. Since the entire user base is running licensed copies of Eudora 5 which includes a "Change Password" button I am attempting to deploy the poppassd component to no avail. I have rebuilt the qpopper configuration and both binaries with no errors or even warnings; incorporated poppassd into xinetd and have watched a test user make the connection and exchange information with the server, but it dies while invoking passwd for the actual password change -- the user gets "tired of waiting for server" message and on the server the processes eventually time out (~10 mins) without completing their mission! I am lost as to how to proceed and what are my chances of success... All help will be greatly appreciated,
Jacob. =================================================================== System Administrator email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Bitwise Internet Technologies, Inc. 22 Drydock Avenue tel: (617) 737-1837 Boston, MA 02210 fax: (617) 439-4941 ===================================================================
