My problem was caused my an tcp6 setting in inetd.conf like this :

pop3    stream  tcp6     nowait  root    /usr/local/lib/popper   popper 
-t /var/log/qpop.log

I changed that tcp6 to tcp and I have ip addresses in my logs now.
