Two different questions. And no clue as to which version of SunOS or
Solaris.
You can reset it using the 'ifconfig' command. If the interface name
is hme0, e.g., you can say:
ifconfig hme0 10.0.0.1
and the IP address changes. This will fix you up until you re-boot.
Sending now to meet your emergency, then will respond with how to keep
it that way.
