I personally prefer my modified spamassassin plugin which talks to spamc (which in turn talks to spamd). I've been running it for about a month on a fairly busy server without any problems. Its the plugin "spamassassin_spamc" at:

http://projects.bluefeet.net/

It works _exactly_ like the spamassissin plugin provided in the qpsmtpd distribution, it just works a bit different internally so that it is as compatible as possible with version changes in spamassassin.

As far as the vanilla qpsmtpd plugin, I have no idea what its status is when it comes to 2.61. A month ago it did not work.

Looks like I'll give spamassassin a try.

The plugin in the current distribution has a note not to use 2.50,
but 2.40 or newer. The current version is 2.61. Does this work properly
with the supplied plugin?

Going back only a short ways in the archives, there seems to be
another spamassassin plugin available (2003 Nov 10, #661). Would 2.61 work
with it?

Which plugin is preferred, if any?

Thanks.
