You are not 100% correct with this. True, I updated perl, and true that this
is not a qpsmtpd problem, proper.
It is a problem with the check_delivery plugin, or rather in one of its
accompanying scripts.

Turns out that suidperl was not intended to be called directly. While this
worked for some time, it has been fixed in later versions of perl. Changing
#!/usr/bin/suidperl -wT to #!/usr/bin/perl has solved the problem.
