I'm still running on qpsmtpd v. 0.26, which is "okay." However, I
figure it's time to build a new server, and I'm trying to figure out
what's happened since I last visited.
As I understand it, there are now three possible versions???
The standard version, which would be pretty much what I've been
running all along, but with some improvements, of course.
The apache module version, which I presume hooks into apache
somehow, and saves time by not having to load each time (?) ...
The high-perf version, which I presume also saves time by not
having to load each time, but by using something similar to PPerl or
FastCGI (???), neither of which I could get to work on my current server.
Would someone in the know please provide a summary of what's
currently available for download, indicating where each would be most
useful, and indicating where each would be least desired. For example, for
a production server, presumably one would want something that is very
stable, at the least. How does the stability of each compare? How do other
features compare?
Thanks.
