qpsmtpd getting stuck after a while

I've downloaded the latest version from cvs and now qpsmtpd does 
something it has never done before - around 24 hours into operation it 
just stops working completely. It just freezes there. The list of 
qpsmtpd processes remains as-is with the list of ip addresses and all, 
and nothing moves in the log file either.

Anyone else here experienced this? And has the latest version moved to 
SVN? Perhaps I have another version because I pulled from CVS?

And finally - I'm using svc to load qpsmtpd, can I somehow also benefit 
from the new threading model?
