To Qpsmtpd List: Just last night I was sending emails fine, this afternoon I try to send an email from my lan and nothing. It just simply WILL NOT SEND. Absolutely nothing on my mailserver has changed. It's the same way right now as it was last night when mail worked fine. I turned the loglevel upto 7 and watched the output. When my machine connects to port 25 qpsmtpd just sits there, it NEVER gives the greeting ever. After 60secs outlook express asks me if I want to wait for the mailserver to respond and I've hit wait, but at last the qpsmtpd log still shows that it never sent a greeting. I figured there may be an issue with the earlytalker plugin so I turned that off.... still same result, no greeting to local machines. It still gives greetings to remote machines perfectly fine and passes the mail, but it WILL NOT accept mail from any local machines. I also checked DNS, figuring maybe my DNS server was causing this issue, but it looks fine.. nothing has changed there either. This is extremely perplexing, why would qpsmtpd just suddenly stop giving greetings (and accepting mail) for local machines? Can someone please help me? I'd rather not have to go learn a different MTA as I really liked the qmail+qpsmtpd combo.
Thanks!
