[EMAIL PROTECTED] a écrit :
I am thinking about a plugin that acts as a proxy for the smtp
authentication that is already being done on my mail server. So when
someone is sending mail through my server and it requests authentication
before relaying my plugin would simply use the smtp authentication on my
existing server to validate the user then allow the message to be sent. Any thoughts, comments or suggestions??

I'm not sure what you mean by "mail server." Is it a pop server, or another smtp server?

If it's a pop server then the procedure is called pop-before-smtp and a plugin called qppoprelay by Michael Holzt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> does that.

qppoprelay is supposed to be available from the site below, but it's down at the moment... :-(

Hope this helps,
