[ n.b. I sent a longer post which is buried at the end of the thread
from yesterday (tls_before_auth...) as I did not realise how the
threading worked in the beta mail list interface[*]. ]

I want to write an auth_dbi plugin and it will need to read its
configuration when it loads so I want to write a test for it as well.

Right now (r680) 'make test' is broken on branch 0.3x so I will have to
fix that. I want to use John Peacock's changes to run the fork-server
on multiple ports since my ISP traps outgoing traffic on port 25.

I use Debian and I will make this work on Sarge but Etch is due out very
soon and I notice that it's at 0.32-4 ... so I'd like to help make that
0.33-1 before the release. I think that means getting John's AUTH/TLS
changes working so I am willing to help there (but I'll need some
guidance as to what needs doing).

I noticed[*] that the Debian maintainer is subscribed to the list so I
will not bother him directly.

[*] Actually, I had to click back through several months of the list to
find "Devin Carraway" ... are there plans for a search feature in the
list ... I noticed the code can be downloaded ... search by both thread
and First/Last would be useful so I will see whether that can be made to
work.
