The two important words here were "other" and "documented" :-) > If you add > deb http://smarden.org/pape/Debian/ sarge unofficial > deb-src http://smarden.org/pape/Debian/ sarge unofficial > to your /etc/apt/sources.list, then you only need to (as far as I can > remember) > > [...] > As I said I would like to try *other* ways... I already use this procedure and I'd like to experiment others... > As far as documentation goes, you can use > http://smarden.org/pape/Debian/ and > http://wiki.qpsmtpd.org/quick-install_howto I've read that (and should admit that I neglected The fork-server SysV init script) But _ Seems that inetd/xinetd don't work anymore. (BTW as asked on the wiki: Isn't simplicity a good reason to add (x)inetd support (daemontools/tcpserver are great but when you already use SysV init+xinetd you might like to continue to use them alone...) _ Pollserver isn't described (more detail about memory leak/stability issue ? special things to configure ? could it be used as a drop-in replacement for fork-server ?) _ Apache::Qpsmtpd isn't describe on the wiki (I've added on the wiki the info I found, feel free to correct them... Furthermore I'd like to add information about the required versions and the sarge issue, any data on this are welcome...) A lot of people (actually 2) asked me for simple ways to install NOT related to djb tools, that's why I'm going this path... > Hope this helps, Yep, Thanks !
