I agree that it is on-topic and share the expectation that it will slow down soon. The best practices concerning the synergy between a mailing list and a wiki are still being discovered. Ideally, in my opinion, notable modifications to wikipages could be CCd to the list, possibly eased by creating a wikiaccount for the mailing list and having it watch pages of interest -- although that approach would certainly cause a lot of noise, even if all the messages had a subject line matching "DIFF OF WIKI UPDATE on [URL]" or something. Encouraging a culture of linking to mailing list archives from wikis and providing pointers to wikipages within list discussions seems like the way to go, or at least one possible way to go. I see discussing the details of the wiki organization as necessary organizational introspection, which ideally should happen once as a big deal and then become a low-level noise -- possibly further reduced by delegating it all to referring wiki users to a "Organization Of This Wiki" wikipage, which could easily catch on as a BCP. -- pre-Α, Α, Β, rc, release.
