I thought you meant "easy to configure trac to use an alternative port".
I understood that. We both know that setting up qmail-smtpd on an
alternative, localhost only, is very easy. And easier than patching
qpsmtpd.
Neither option is particularly hard though - it's pretty easy to run
another instance of qpsmtpd using the same code base, but a different
config directory.
qmail-smtpd would do the same job, with smaller resource footprint. You
won't be using any of the filtering capabilities of qpsmtpd.
