This is the standard way of Object Orientation in Perl. You may want to
read a book or tutorial about this to get familiar with it. Some

The subroutines in qpsmtpd plugins are object methods, $self is the
invocant and represents the plugin itself. Its class is Qpsmtpd::Plugin,
which is underdocumented.
