It's a well known fact that Harmattan components are being developed
behind closed doors, for reasons of keeping the UX secret until deemed
worth publishing.

There is some overlapping implementation work being done by Intel, in
"meego ux" components project:

In order to avoid tons of overlapping work, perhaps Nokia could
consider publishing at least the C++ parts of the internal harmattan
components projects? Those don't hold a risk of compromising the
secrecy, and would help Intel to reuse worthwhile code (as
appropriate).

OTOH, if there is no much divergence in C++ side code b/w public and
private projects (didn't check), this is a non-issue.
