I partly solved this problem for myself by installing the following (outdated)
package:
http://pkgs.org/ubuntu-11.10/ubuntu-updates-main-i386/libicu44_4.4.2-2ubuntu0.11.10.1_i386.deb/download/
Funny:
Qt-creater itself does not depend on the outdated version libicui18n.so.44, but all qt programs
build with it
do.
I am not sure if this is a bug of qtcreator or of the qt toolchain or of the
packaging.
