Hei Tobias, Actually I was hoping we could fix the flat style to also support color tinting:-) I am not overly attached to the manhattan style, I just need this one feature that is still missing from the flat style.
Yes! This would be the best solution, I wonder if it's an easy fix. If we add color tinting, than we will need to be more dynamic than a style sheet. Did you ever change the color of Qt Creator in Manhattan style? It adapts the gradient colors to make sure the text stays readable and I think it also adapts the font colors for the areas where the color tint is applied. I had changed the colors of Manhattan style before, but I wasn't aware that they are remembered by each session individually. So now I understand that it's actually quite a useful feature for developers, you are able to tell immediately in what you are working on. When I resume to working on the flat styles again I'll keep that in mind and try to find a way to keep that feature.
