Hello again,

I feel like a spoil-sport, but I do have one more thing to consider:

Qt Creator is supposed to be usable at 1024x600 pixels. That used to be the
resolution of cheap netbooks, which are no longer in wide use, so maybe we can
up that to 1024x768 pixels? Being able to demo Qt Creator on basically any
cheap projector anywhere in the world is nice and I would really love to keep
that:-) I does set Qt Creator apart from other IDEs with dozens of toolbars,
dock windows, sidebars, menus and whatnot that leave no room for the source
code at such low resolutions.

The project mode is 900 pixels wide IIRC, the mode bar and decoration added by
the OS are ~70 pixels. That leaves less than 60 pixels for the tree view. That
is probably not enough, is it?

Can we shave some pixels from the project mode UI and make the tree view wider
with those?

How wide does the tree view need to be to still be navigable without too much
scrooling?

Best Regards,
Tobias
