Hi, Qt Creator: 3.5.1 OS: Linux
I updated GDB and went to Build&Run -> Debuggers to see if Qt Creator picked the change, and it hasn't. For Auto-detected, it reported the version of the old version of GDB.
Removing debuggers.xml triggers the auto-detection and this time the reported version is correct. (After that you need to reassign the new debugger to the kits, so it's not the best approach).
