I have no suggestions yet on what I expect to happen, but that they got closed was unexpected. Thinking about it a bit it might make sense to close all editors and keep the pinned ones in the open documents list. It sounds counterproductive since then they are not opened anymore, thus they don't fit in the list (new list or renamed panel?) What I don't want is to get 'stuck' on a pinned file when I try to close everything but the pinned ones with the shortcut. And then again, perhaps a shortcut to "close all except the pinned ones" is the correct way to handle this and then get stuck on a pinned one with a warning or indication as other people mentioned in this discussion.
