Again, i'm not arguing that isn't a minor growth, i'm questioning the
rationale for that permanent allocation of precious display surface.

To me, that partitioning isn't adequate to begin with. That
objectively it isn't growing much is of no comfort.

I also happen to hate auto-expanding things, if only because any
animation of any sort becomes extremely tiresome past the first few
hundred occurrences.
