Well, I'm not sure but I think I installed Debugging Tools separately from the msi package downloaded from some MS site. However to be sure I uninstalled it and installed the new one using msi packaged which was copied into C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.1\Redist\Debugging Tools for Windows\dbg_x86.msi during installation of Windows SDK v7.1 This is version 6.12.2.633. Nevertheless, I get the same error with Creator 2.0.94. I installed Creator 2.1.81 (snapshot from 2011-01-26) and I don't get this error any more neither with version 6.11.1.404 (the one I had installed) nor with version 6.12.2.633 of Debugging Tools. I'm confused as I remember using cdb with Creator before without any problems. Anyways, let it be as it is now and thanks for helping me out. By the way; Creator 2.1.81 in Tools/Options/Debugger/CDB has this label "Specify the path to the Windows Console Debugger executable (64-bit version) here." whereas Creator 2.0.94 has the same label but with "32-bit" instead of "64-bit". It looks like now Creator asks about the version of cdb matching the platform (I'm on Vista x64).
