Hi, I have attached a debugger log of a failed "set breakpoint" attempt.
The problem seems to occur when I set a breakpoint in template class methods that actually gets called somewhere in my current test application. I have tried obtaining a newer MinGW including GDB, but what I found was older than the MinGW provided with the SDK. If you have a link to a more up-to-date MinGW / GDB download, I'd be happy to try whether that solves the problem. As a rule of thumb, gdb has improved quite a bit lately all over the place, including setting breakpoints in "non-trivial" situations, so I certainly recommend using gdb 7.2 or, preferably, 7.3. Whether this affects this particular problem is hard to tell without seeing _your_ debugger log. The "Cannot continue debugged process: Warning: Cannot insert breakpoint 13. Error accessing memory addres 0x95ab0074: Input/output error." seems to be related to "warning: (Internal error: pc 0x95b50eb6 in read in psymtab, but not in symtab." which in turn seems to occur most often on Windows (see https://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTCREATORBUG-5200) Whether this relates to the fact that the default Qt SDK installation uses g++ 4.4 on Windows and Linux distributions typically have something more recent I could not track down so far.
