I have tried installing the newest Qt SDK on Linux.
I chose to install Creator, Qt 4.7.3, the Qt 4.7.3 sources and some
documentation files.

Creator installed just fine, and immediately located the previously
installed Qt version (4.6.3).
Although I had selected to install Qt 4.7.3 as well, the corresponding
folder (Desktop) in my SDK folder was empty.
Since the sources where there, I decided to compile Qt according to
these instructions: http://doc.qt.nokia.com/latest/install-x11.html

After compiling, I could locate the Qt bin folder manually in Creator.
When selecting the qmake location, however, Creator displayed the
following note:
"The default mkspec symlink is broken"

What does that mean?

How do I fix it?

Kind regards

Robert Schimkowitsch
