The fix is to add it to PATH, although this should not be required, since the Qt that comes with the SDK is for convinience and development only. It ensures you can develop against the latest Qt features even if your distro Qt does not have then. Don't try to use it as a general replacement for the distro-provided Qt. For the situation where you need it, just add it to PATH in your .bashrc or similar.
