Hi André,

Thanks for the feedback.

In fact, the remote debugging also failed for me with Qt Creator 1.2.1, but the problem was that this release only supported the "i386-x86-64:intel" architecture, and my target was only "i386".

Someone's given me the hint that the i386 architecture had been included in a snapshot version, so I moved to 1.2.91, which did included my architecture for debugging. Then I came across this other problem.

I hope you can give me good news soon !

Best regards,

Rodrigo Tavares

Hi,

I'm having problems to make remote debugging work with Qt Creator. It
seems to be a bug in Qt Creator, or at least something that should be
improved on future releases. So I would like to share it in this list,
and hopefully one of you has already overcome the problem and could give
me hint !

I'm using Qt Creator 1.2.91 (snapshot) on Ubuntu 9.04 and I'm trying to
debug a program built for QtEmbedded-4.5.1 on a x86 based target running
a custom embedded linux. I was able to remotely debug the same
application with GDB alone and also with Eclipse, but not with Qt Creator.

This looks like a bug introduced by the recent refactoring. I'll have a
look tomorrow morning.

Andre'

PS: Thanks for the report including the log ;-)
