The projects already in my workspace are quite large, but adding the Jambi libs to my build process caused this significant slowed build process.
So "somehow" this is related to Jambi :)
As a workaround I disabled "Build automatically.." and now at least the incremental compiler is fast enough. However, the overall build process is still quite slow.
