Sorry to prove you wrong, I just did some experimenting today with QtJambi compiling on Windows 7 and MSVC2008.
To test deployment, I did a fresh install of Windows XP, service pack 3, and tested an install using the generated library jar. It worked like a charm, no problem... So, my guess is that there is something wrong with the dependencies of the dll's in Brunos install package, as he suspects in a mail previously.
