Hello again,
Are you using the 32bit Linux package I made? Or did you compile your
own? If you used my package, this is built on a 8.04 Ubuntu release, so
it
might be time to jank up that build system a bit. I will make some
tests soon on a Virtual Box on Ubuntu 9.10. When time arrives for
Ubuntu 10.04 (the next LTS) I am planning to upgrade my build server to
that platform.
I almost have a virtual Windows XP + MSVC 2005 up and running, however,
it takes an awful long time to install all the service packs. Tomorrow
maybe I will be able to build something on this VirtualBox solution.
In the meantime, do you have the possibility to compile your own
version of Qt Jambi? You will need to install something similar than
the kde-devel package on Ubuntu.

Well what now , libpng is now version 1.4 ,
qtjambi's qt use ver 1.2 , some distributions use 1.4 some 1.2 so it
seems that I cannot use png's in style sheets or can I include libpng
somehow ? or including libpng.so to jar needs rebuilding of qt and
qtjambi ? Dont know what to do .. I tried to copy libpng to
imageformats subdir extracted in tmp and it didnt help.

No, regrettably, qtjambi can only guarantee load-time independency of Qt
library updates since those are embedded in the native lib jar file. All
other stuff is linked as shared libraries. Thus, I guess if these change
signatures or are removed from the system qtjambi is being deployed on,
unsatisfied link errors will arise. This will of course also occur on
Windows. To statically link in all dependency will turn the libraries to
giants, don't know if that's feasible.
