I think I could explain a bit what we have been doing currently... I plan to do
proper blog post when I get to it.

Finally, work towards 4.7 has started, and the transition seems to be really
smooth. There is not even too many features that needs to be disabled. QML is
of course not implemented, someone to look into it would be useful.

Actually, all hands interested in help will be useful hands. Especially people
who know what they’d want to do.

4.7 port is not done, but after it is ready, I think I’ll dig more into type
system, try to gather some material we’d could use for our own manual, and
hopefully fix some 4.6 typesystems errors that has not been fixed so far.

There is also some layout changes I’m going to do. These changes are primary
reason I’m going with separate 4.7 repository. In future we’ll have properly
branched and tagged releases, but by excessive amount of changes, I want to
leave properly working repository for people who wants to use it. (I know, I
know, git branch 4.6 does do this, but still...) :

There is other changes, regarding the layout of the repository, to have more
intuitive and cleaner look, to help new developers to get in to Jambi, I’ll be
doing. That is most likely going to kill last bits of mergeability between 4.6
and 4.7 repositories... I might do some cleanups for release layout, but that’s
something that oughta be done at same time proper packaging scripts have been
written. Volunteers for them are appreciated too.
